Xanthoma:
Only slightly raised from the skin’s surface, xanthoma is a buff coloured plaque, which commonly appears at the inner corner of the eye.
It has a texture similar to chamois leather and is caused by inflammation of the deeper layers of skin followed by fat deposits (in some cases, this is due to an excess amount of cholesterol in the blood).

Milia
what is Milia?
Milia is a condition that is caused by dead skin cells getting trapped inside pores causing inflammation and a white or yellow head to form which contains a protein called keratin, the head is usually 1mm or 2mm wide and should be removed. Milia most commonly appear below the eye and along the cheekbone and chin. Although milia are found in the outer layers of skin, they are difficult to remove without the proper tools. Do not try to remove them at home, as you may leave a scar.
Who’s At Risk?
Milia can occur in people of all ages, of any ethnicity, and of either sex. Milia are so common in newborn babies (occurring in up to 50% of them) that they are considered normal.
