Microblading

Microblading (or eyebrow embroidery) is a relatively new, manual method, which does not use a normal Permanent Makeup Machine.

Microblading is becoming an incredibly popular treatment as more and more people like the fine results that it can offer. The pigment is implanted in the basal membrane, which divides the epidermis from the Dermis layer of the skin. This technique is, therefore, more superficial than tattooing.

This amazing Eye Brow treatment suits people who ideally have the wrong Brow shape, over plucked, loss of hair / patchy areas and won’t grow back or through medical reasons such as Alopecia or chemotherapy. Microblading gently enhances clients’ natural features, giving them more confidence in their overall appearance.

However, it doesn’t suit certain skin types:

  • Excessive Sebum.
  • Problem skin has broken Capillaries.
  • Acne.
  • Moles.
  • Keratosis.
  • Seborrhea Dermatitis.
  • Very dry or peeling skin.
  • Problem skin.

What happens in the Consultation?

  • Do not drink coffee, alcohol or energy drinks on the day of treatment.

  • No waxing! You must complete any waxing 3 days before the treatment.

Microblading Aftercare

  • Do not wet for 24 hours
  • No rubbing no picking. The treated area might feel a little ticklish during the first phase of the recovering process, it is important not to rub it as you might get an infection into your skin. Peeling is absolutely normal during the second phase of recovery; avoid any sort of picking of dry skin as you might peel out the wrong parts and create bald spots in the newly reconstructed brow.
  • Keep your hair away from your face.  This means to avoid putting your fringe over brows for at least 7 days as this could cause infection.
  • We provide a moisturiser for you, please apply it after 24 hours of the treatment.  The moisturiser usually applied in the evening before sleep, some customers might need to apply it two times per day.  It will help to keep the treated area moisturized and soft for the rest of recovery period.   Avoid petroleum jelly or Vaseline as it can cause a reaction and block skin from breathing.
  • No sunbeds, tanning, pool, sauna (steam or dry), excessive sweating in the gym, no makeup or anti ageing creams on the brow area for at least 10 days.  It is best to allow the brow to heal first before using any of the above.
  • Entire healing process will take from 4 to 6 weeks depending on you’re body’s regeneration, age immune system and life style.  Sometimes after Microblading customers develop dry, flaky skin.  It is very important not to rub, peak or peel off your flakes or scabs.  Itching is absolutely normal as skin is repairing itself.  Never rub the treated area, as it will disturb the skin from the natural healing process.  If you get your brow wet at the beginning of recovery, simply dry it with lint free tissue.  The way you take care of your new brow after microblading will have a great impact on the way it looks.  Improper care often results in fading or patchy brow.
  • Note that because of natural skin regeneration, after recovery period brows might appear lighter than original.  Often, even with proper care customers develop bald spots or loose original hair strokes, which makes brow, look uneven.  It is absolutely normal because your natural skin regeneration is not a process that technician can control.  That’s why most customers need a touch up after one month to assure that brows are perfectly even and the desired effect was achieved.

On the first day of the treatment, you will be charged 50% of the following touch up.

Microblading FAQ

01. Does it hurt?
Microblading method is the gentlest method you will find for implanting permanent color into the skin. The sensation is said to be similar to tweezing. If you are sensitive, your professional will use topical anesthetic on your eyebrows.
02. Does it look good?
Yes, with the Microblading method, you can have natural-looking makeup, 24/7. Because this process is done by hand, it is easy to avoid harsh, dark, and unnatural permanent makeup.
03. Do I get a say in how my brows are done?
Of course. I wouldn’t dream of giving you a design you didn’t want. This is a process in which both of you work together to find what works for you—after all, it is for you.
04. How long will it last?
This depends on the color and style you have chosen. If you choose a subtle, light color and application, expect to need more touch ups than if you choose a dark color and heavier application. It is important to understand that while very dark colors and heavy applications require little or no touch ups, they do not look as natural and therefore are not recommended.
05. How long does the procedure take?
This will vary with the type of work you are having done and your sensitivity. Generally speaking, basic eyebrow fills, take 1-2 hours. Extremely difficult procedures will probably take more time and be broken up into several appointments (scar camouflage, correction etc.)
06. Can I resume normal activity, exercising, gardening, etc.?
Most normal activities can be resumed right away. Heavy exercise should be avoided for at least a week for best results—any sweat formed on your brows can fade your healing color. Swimming should be on hold for at least a week, pool chemicals would erode your healing color as well. Outdoors activities such as gardening or golf can be resumed as long as your treatment area remains clean, dry, and out of the sun. For best results do not expose your procedure to any unnecessary wear.
07. Is there going to be any scabbing?
There can be scabbing if your skin is sensitive. Eyeliner procedures tend to scab more than eyebrows. DO NOT pick off these scabs; picking scabs may result in a loss of color or minor scarring.
08. Why Do I see color flaking off after a week?
This can happen for a number of reasons, but it usually has to do with skin type. Older skin, more weathered skin, and drier skin may flake color off during the healing process. There should be color underneath, but if not, your Microblading professional will touch up your color at your follow up appointment.
09. Will I be swollen?
You won’t be swollen, you just might have slightly red skin around eyebrows, but this would last max. 30 minutes.
10. don’t want to look harsh, what should I do?
The Microblading method is known for its natural results. Show or tell your professional what your goals are for the final result, and they will do their utmost to help you achieve your desired look.
11. Can it be removed?
Small exfoliations and corrections may be possible, but if you want a complete removal you should see a laser specialist.
12. Will I have to hide from my friends?
No! You can go out that night if you want to. Apply your Recover All ointment, and have a ball!
13. I already have a permanent makeup and want to change the shape, Can you help?
Yes, changes to your old design can be made.
14. I am pregnant. Can I get semi permanent makeup?
If you are pregnant or nursing, come in for a consultation—it can be a real relief to know that you look great at any time of your pregnancy.
15. Can I come in with my brows drawn on, as I like them?
Yes, if they are exactly perfect and drawn just how you like them, your Microblading professional can create an outline, thoroughly cleanse your skin and get right to work. This can save you both a lot of time, especially if you draw in your brows with the color chosen at your consultation.
16. Why do my eyebrows look so dark during the healing process?
This is a result of the natural oxidation process that takes place in the skin once pigment has been implanted. The color reacts slowly with oxygen in the air, turning it darker. This is a completely natural and normal occurrence for our pigments.
17. How often should I come in to refresh the color?
In order to keep your Microblading results looking fresh, we recommend a touch up every year for light brows.
18. Why do I need a touch up if this is semi permanent?
Because color is implanted in the facial area there tends to be more fluid circulation than other parts of the body. Your face sees the most wear of any piece of you—exposure to the sun, food, facial products—the list goes on and on. All of these things cause permanent color to fade, this is why you need a touch up.
19. Is there any reason why I shouldn’t get it done?
However, it doesn’t suit certain skin types: Excessive Sebum, Problem skin, broken Capillaries, Acne, Moles, Keratosis (A horny growth, especially on the skin) Seborrhea Dermatitis, Very dry or peeling skin.
